02 RoadKing classic handlebars

This may sound Dumb.. But, How do you remove the shroud covering the handlebar clamps? do i need to remove the fork lock like the newer bikes with ignition switch there?

You have to start from the front of the nacelle and remove the headlight assembly and work in from there.

I heard it before and worth mentioning again. Buy the manual, its well worth the money. Need to take the healight out, small washer and nut holding the arrow on, pop wheel lock off and remove two screws. Hardest part is the small washer and nut inside the headlight assembly. Put some tape on your box wrench so you dont have them fall into the headlight assembly with all the wiring. Changed my bars about a month ago.
