04 Cruise Control

I have an 04 flhtci and want to install cruise control. I understand the harley kit part # 77196-04 is now obsolete. I can find most of the kit around but does anyone know what is specific to the 04-06 models? Is the controller and is the switch housing interchangable between model years?

jay, i think that kit is plug & play from 97 -07, except on police models.............bw

05 cc would not work on 03 had different control module. Dealer sold us the wrong one to install. CC switch worked but could not accel or decel w/handle switch. I think 04 and 05 were the same.

jay, i have a 97 cc module , but no switches..if you find out it will work i am asking $50 plus ship..pm me if your interested..ryd. p.s. never used.

I have found out that the module does depend on year to work with the computer and fuel system on the bike. Rydahog your module will not work properly on my bike thank you anyway. I need part # 70955-04 which is good on the 04 to 06 bikes.
