I need to replace my 1999 factory am/fm cassette player, found a pretty nice 2004 off a street glide sn/76164-04 just wondering if the wiring harnesses will adapt and the handle bar controls work??

Interesting, since the first model year for the Street Glide (FLHX) was 2006. Do you have the part number for your 99 radio?

My bad the 04 radio came off a road glide!! will it work?

I looked at some pics for '99 & '04 radios on google images. The face plates look the same. Couldn't find a P/N for either radio. In '05 the face plate changed so it('05) probably won't work. I couldn't tell if it's a plug-N-play or not for '99 to'04. I would check with the link HDDon gave you.
