4 Way Flashers For Side Of The Road Use

I've seen the subject of the four ways vis-a-vis the security system, but are there four way flashers meant to be just four way flashers? And if so, how do you turn them on?

Depressing both of your turn signal switches at the same time will activate the 4 ways.

Yup, but remember to manually turn them off because if you don't, they just keep flashing.
Even with the ignition turned off.

They will also turn off after two hours if you forget to turn them off.

No, read it in the owners manual...or less than two hours if the battery dies.

Had to drag out my owners manual and sure enough, it's there.
I don't ever want to be stranded that long though....
