88 electra exhaust qeustion

Ok people I bought a used 1988 electra glide clasic and it came with a V&H 2 into 1 set up, its not loud nor is it pleasing to my eyes. I am cheap and need options, what I really need is other then the head pipes can I find and put on most any exhaust from a big twin? What years should I be looking for?

The touring frames and exhaust systems changed in '96. The easiest way to determine what year complete systems will fit is to look at parts books like J&P or Dennis Kirk.
