air filter

I bought my bike used and was told it had a screamin' eagle intake ( air filter) It's got screen mesh . My question is, do I clean it and oil it much like my hot rod K&N air filter or just clean it ( with the chemical cleaner I use on my hot rod, rinse and air dry) and re install ? Kinda hard to describe so I attached a picture. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks !!

There are two versions of the same (looking) S.E. filter. The newer ones do not get oiled. The good thing is they have "do not oil" stamped on the plate where the 3 screws go. I have a "do not oil" on my '07, my buddy' s '04 gets oiled like a k&n.
