Planning on making an Alaska run in the summer of "09". I ride a ultra classic and was looking to hear from some of you guys on some do'es and do'nts about making this run.
Plan it out good, I drove there in a tractor trailer about 13 yrs ago. There are a lot of long stretches where you might not see anyone. I would love to ride it on a bike. Takes lots of pics because there's some beutiful places along the way. safe riding Harley D
I'd love to make that trip, but I'm not sure I'd be able to convince my wife to try and do it on a bike. I certainly wouldn't want to do it on my Sporty.
I just worry that once I was in Alaska, I wouldn't want to come back home!
Took a cruise up there in 2006(end of July) beautiful country, weather was mostly high 60's and 70's, and quite a bit wet days. Still would love to ride up there one day. Just be prepared for the rain. Good Luck .you won't regret it
