Any other bag options for the Heritage?

I test rode a Softail Heritage yesterday and really liked the ride. I have never been too fond of the studded bags... are there any options for just plain black leather bags, with no studs? I don't think Harley makes any, but I know there is a world of after market stuff out there. I thought I may have some luck there.

By the way, for the 15 minutes I rode the heritage, it wasn't any more difficult to handle than my sporty... a true pleasure. Still need to test ride a road king, though.

thanks

THANKS... be safe!

Don't cheat yourself and neglect to demo a Street Glide. But then I'm slightly biased!

I see bags on ebay and craigs list that came off of the springer heritage like mine (with no studs) for sale. Depending on the year, they may or may not have fringe on them. I don't like studs or fringe either one. I like the simple clean look.

I agree, Springer. I don't really like flashy.

I'll have to figure out if it's worth shelling out an extra $1,000 for different bags. I suppose ebay/craigslist may have friendlier prices. the studs don't offend me in any way, just wouldn't be my choice if I were building the bike myself. But hey, I never used to really think I would want a Heritage, and now I'm smitten with it. So, tastes change... we'll see. The one thing I DO need on the bike are whitewall tires... I love that look!

I think the difference is the Heritage comes with the studs and everything on it is that way, and that's ok. But my Heritage Springer doesn't come with any and I think it fits that bike. Someone put a studded seat back on mine before I got it and its totally out of place on this Springer.

Why not have some custom made to your own taste? I modified a Springer Classic into a modern version of a 1942 WLA with replica bags by www.heathersleathers.com and they did an outstanding job on my seat and my bags. I almost hate to give them up since more and more will be showing up but with Wayne and a set of Ghost (or similar) brackets - your only limitation is your imagination.
