bank angle sensor

We just bought a used 2011 Electra Glide Classic. Are trying to install a seatback, and it says to bolt it into the BAS. There doesn't appear to be one on the bike, as there are just holes there where the BAS should be...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not quite sure what you mean by seat back???? I am sure the direction can not mean Bank Angle Sensor. It is part of the electronics for ECM.

I looked at (attached link) the instructions for driver backrest installation, and it references ECM caddy cover, but not BAS. Did I look at the wrong backrest?

I was looking at the wrong backrest. You have the ADJUSTABLE one. If the BAS is not where the instructions say, maybe it has already been moved to the new location by previous owner? When I installed the factory security system. I had to remove the BAS, I assumed it was because the TSSM handled this function, where the TSM didn't. Since the new bikes have the security system as standard equipment wouldn't the BAS be obsolete on them as well?
