Today I did the first service on the wifes Nightster. After draining the oil, I took a flashlight and peered into the oil tank. All of the little dips and seams were filled with the metal sludge from the break in. I don't know if others do this, but I decided to do something about it. I took some paper towels and made swabs on the end of my little shop grabber. I then went in through the oil fill hole and proceeded to clean the bottom of the tank out. It took proabably an extra 15 minutes but it seemed well worth it to me.

I want to make it clear, in no way do I support drinking and riding, however I see no problem with drinking and maintenance!
