Changed the stator on my wifes 1994 883 sportster. Putting things back together. Are these the right torque spec for the compensating nut 150-165 ft..Ib and the clutch nut being 70-80 ft..Ib? Also is the HD 20w50 oil ok for the primary oil? thanks
Yes, those torque values are correct and don't forget to use some red locktite. as long as the 2050 is made for primary,transmission application. bottle should specify.Oh and don't forget the clutch nut is a left hand thread
Your torque settings are good for oil i would use formula+ or an oil that is formulated for the sportster transmission as the oil looks after the gearbox and the primary drive and clutch so it needs to be suitable for all those tasks engine oil is not the best idea
