Clutch cable install

I have heard that I can install the clutch cable WITH OUT removing the tranny cover....is this true and if so HOW???
I really dont want to take my exhaust off to do this cable if I can do it another way....thanks

You have to remove the side cover of the tranny in order to be able to remove the cable end from the cam ramp assembly. Dont know if this will work on your '02 but on my '10 I cut off a allen wrench to get to the bolts with the exhaust still in place.

I just did my 2008 FLHTC using a cut allen key. Worked just fine and saved a good hour, busted knuckles, and 2 port gaskets!:guitar
