Custom street glide

I have a question just for my own curiosity . I've seen servral SG that are custom with the larger front rims and tires , 21" , 24" and even a 30" . I didn't like the looks of the 30" personally but this bike had to be raked to use the 30 as so with some of the 24" . The 30 is a very low profile tire so wouldn't it ride real rough ?

I would have to believe all show and no go. Ride quality would have to be like riding a brick....

The low profile tires I have seen on bikes and cars have little to no sidewall. They have to ride hard as without sidewall there is no flex.
