Different Tire Sizes

I'm looking to put a rear wide white wall tire on my bike. The closest size I can find to my stock, which is D401 130/90B/16, is a D402 MT 90-16....Can anyone tell what the difference is and if it could work? Thanks

an mt90 is a 130/90, remember it by "the rear fender looks mt (empty) with a 130 tyre."

Thanks for the tips, guess I'll try it out from what it looks like, I shouldn't have any problems. Thanks for the tip "the rear fender looks empty"....kinda cool way to remember.
