Down Shift Issue

My 2010 FXD, recently started having down shift issues. When I downshift front 2nd into 1st it seems I have to slam the shifter with my foot to get it into 1st gear. Is this an indication my clutch is going out? Only have 12,400 miles on it.
 
More likely an indication the clutch needs adjusting.

Easy to do, check the Self Help section for the step-by-step instructions.

since its a 2010 - is still under warranty?????
 
As the miles accumulate, the clutch wears and the cable stretches. It sounds like you need a clutch adjustment including cable free play which is the last part of the adjustment.
