Drive Belt Options

Just noticed stone damage to my drive belt, bit of a bugger as done less than 3000 miles but we have a lot of coarse chip seal here in New Zealand. As a lot of my mileage is done in areas where it would take hours to get a tow and I’d have to leave my bike to get cell phone coverage I’m going to replace it and play it safe. Have been searching forums and internet for what I need for my 09 FXDF without much success. Have some questions for the “experts”:

* 1 1/8” Wide 133 tooth – is this correct?
* Is a non-harley belt better than a “factory” HD Belt?
* Options I’ve seen on the net include. Any comments in regards these?
- Falcon
- Gates
- Dayco Panther
- Supermax
- Primo
* Where is the best place to source a belt?

Any help/advice appreciated

I personally think the new factory Harley drive belts are hard to beat.

I agree with Chopper. Somethings are better bought from the Motoco. The fit should be like a hand to a glove. Love the Fat Bob, I got a 2008 myself!

The new S&S belts are actually stronger than the Genuine item.

Does HD make belt guards ??? Might be an option
