engine heat sensor

I talked to Chris at dobeck about fuel mileage w/tfi and I am only getting 28m/gal. He told me to get my engine heat sensor checked, (could this cause a higher idle) Is this something that breaks down or maybe just a rare thing. Settings on TFI were correct.

Any electrical part can go bad especially when subjected to the heat that CHT unit sees. It's entirely possible but I think that would show in other ways also like poor running. Try dialing back the pot #2 and readjust the #1 pot to the best setting then back that down a hair too.

Talking w/Chris I did dial them back, just wanted to some imput on sensor and bike does seem run good
