Fairing Support

Took my 2008 Ultra Classic to dealer for an voltage regulator issue and they told me my fairing support weldments were broke. They replaced the left, right, and support brackets. There was no charge since I was still under the extended warranty!

It is quite common on the 04 to 09.I noticed the brackets that they changed mine out with are of a slightly different design.They should have recalled them IMHO.
I have welded quite a few of them up for friends without warranty.
The dealers all told them the same thing.

This a known probelm. The fairing support brackets brake right at the curved angle at the top due to a poor design. Instead of replacing the entire pieces I purchased this:

They are very good and easy to DIY. I recommend. The seller ahs lower brackets as well.
