First ride of the year

Took a ride on Friday. Bike has been put up since Nov 1st. I did not have a battery tender on it so I was worried that it wouldn't start. I got it out and hit the starter and it fired right up, sure was a sweet sound. Took it for a ride and it felt so good. It was still kinda cold though.

I took mine out last Saturday as it was up to 41 degrees - gave the bike a nice wash down and dried it. then went out for a ride to move the oil around and get it good and hot. Sure don't want to trash up the oil.

I'm soooo jealous. I want to take mine out really bad but the weather just wont cooperate. Even on days it's not snowing there is still huge puddles of slush and rock salt everywhere. I'll just sit here twiddling my thumbs and waiting for the sun to peak out.

Just saw our forecast & NE should warm into 50's next week so rid'n time's right around the corner - yeah!

Snow flurries, cold, wind it will not end. Well, it seems that way. All of my riding buds are feeling the pain of cabin fever. If anyone will send sunshine and warm weather we will take it in PA. To all of you riding, be safe and enjoy it. Put a few miles on for us northern folks.

I'm envious. Supposed to get up to 45 here this week but my driveway/road is still ice covered. Can't wait to unleash the new motor......

Glad you had a good ride.

B1B i put down cat litter on my icy driveway its a dirt driveway its easier to get to the rode..to ride..if road is clear,,

still cold and windy here, we had about 8" on friday, with 40 mph winds. extended forecast is calling for 49 on the 8th. But our state road crews decided to put down so much salt solution, that the roads are a pure white color, hopefully we get a little rain shower soon.
