Front brake switch

On my 04 Heritage the brake light isn't coming on when I use the front lever. The light comes on with the rear brake. I read here that you can give the switch a squirt of WD-40 which might free it up if it is sticking. My question is where do you give it a squirt? I know if that doesn't do it I'll have to change out the switch.
Thanks:15:

If you pull the brake lever in you can give it a shot of WD in the area up by the pivot.

You may also loosen the screws in the brake assembly and try relocating it closer to the master cylinder to see if it slipped away from the switch if the lube doesn't work.

Don't get it so tight to the cylinder that the throttle sleeve binds.
