For those of us lucky enough to be on the Gulf Coast the past weekend had the best weather all year. We rode out of Mobile down thru Bayou La Batre, Coden, and Alabama Port to Dauphin Island. Met some folks at the ferry landing on their way across the bay headed for Fort Morgan and Gulf Shores. Also met a young couple on bicycle who had been on the road for 8 weeks coming from Seattle heade to Ft. Lauderdale...whew! Anyway, headed for the mainland after a brief stop for luch at the Lighthouse and ended up at the Rivershack on Dog River, good beer and lots of river traffic to watch, pretty much took up the whole day, one I will savor for awhile...Oh yea...no love bugs yet!!
