they are water proof I have one and love it , a little tip take a large towel and fold it so it lays under and up each end with it in your saddle bag just a little added insulation
I took one look at them and decided that I would need one for each saddlebag just to haul the amount of beverage that would be needed! The supports would end up breaking that hold the bags etc. Plus it gets so hot here in Fla. that nothing would stay cold very long in a vivid black saddlebag. Then what would I do with all the other stuff?

I got to use mine last ride,worked well.Still had room for a few items behind the bag.Kept ice till that night,did not leak.:cheers
