Handlebar change RK

Hi

Well, I have just purchased my first Harley, which is a 2006 Road King Classic, love it!. Being 6ft 6", I need to change the factory handlebars.

Will I need to alter the cables and lines for a set of handlebars that are:
36"ACROSS HAVE 8" RAISE AND 5" PULL BACK

Thanks Gary

yes you will need new cables and extend the wiring there usually 2-3 inches to spare and thats it

You should find someone that switched to the police heritage bars from HD. They fit the RK w/same cables and most people (small and tall) like the way they fit. Search the old messages here and you will see. Only $100 for the bars and a few hours to swap. If you don't like it, you won't be out much.

Just changed my 05 rkc bars to the heritage bars, no cable changes just did some ninor bending of the brake line.

I have 2002 Road King the first thing I did was change the Handle bars to Heritage bars it does work with the cables on the bike.

I am 6' 4" and changed out the bars on my 01 road king classic to the road glide bar out of the p&a catalog no cable changes and they were only about $70 work pretty well for me
