help? my 97 road king is sick

my 97 road king flhri started making a rattling niose about a week ago,now its popping and cough wanting to die,also seems like its having a hard time turning over,runs ok for about a block then acts like plugs are fouled

Ok after looking for a minute I see it is fuel injected. Could the rattling be coming from a loose o2 sensor? If its loose or completely out then that would defiantly fit your symptoms.

Look it over for the obvious first, run a compression test and check back in

You symptoms could be a failed lifter. Evo's front cylinder exhaust is the most prone to roller bearing failure.

I had a 1997 FXDS and loved that bike. Built Big and was Quiet.
