Hello all, i have an evolution with an ev27, intake, re-jett, python exhaust.. it runs really good.. i was wondering, if i took out the factory 8.5:1 pistons for 10:1 and got the heads worked will there be enough power gain to justify the cost??

YOU WOULD NOTICE A BIG DIFFERENCE........ 10/1 COMPRESSION IS WHAT THE EVV 27 CAN USE...
I had the similar set-up on my 97 fxds..... I used wiesco 10.5/1 but found that to be TOO MUCH so i went to 10.1/1 and it was NICE...
seems I used a module ? crain? with 3 different curves and that helped on the timing...
BUT why not go bigger on the bore at the same time???
ROOOOOOMMMMMMMPhhhhhh
I had this same thing done on a1996 dresser, it made a big difference in the seat of the pants dyno. The RPMS will come up alot faster.Iwould definetly recomend it.
