hog membership

New to HOG , and local chapter where I bought the HD. My question is " can you have 2 memberships to hog. I have to renew by Dec 31.

I would like to belong to the one I started with, but its a long drive there. The other chapter is closer ?

HMMM, call your local Chapter and see what the by laws say?:s

Up here in Canada you can belong to as many chapters as you want. I'm sure the the US would be the same.

Cannot see why you cannot, when I belonged to the group in Port Richey back in 2002, I could have also been part of the one in Crystal River.

I always join nationally but our local chapter can pound sand. Unfortunately what some of the metric riders accuse Harley riders of...does exist.

I wish you luck with your local chapter and wish we had a good one nearby. Join both...why not...

I'd say, as long as you're an active-dues paying member, shouldn't be a problem. Best to check w/the chapter(s).

I belong to two HOG chapters and they both know of the other.
It is like being a liaison between the two.
We support each others charity runs.
But I only hold office in one.
HOG membership is only as good as the people in each chapter.
Some are good others not so good.

HOG Membership gives you a NATIONAL status/this is From harley "HOG"..

HOG membership from Harley is needed First. (only one membership, regardless of how many bikes owned) an annual or Paid ahead membership to hog and as many years as you want OR Life membership available.

You can join any Chapter If they will accept you or as many Chapters "Clubs" that you want... If you are a member of "HOG"...

The Clubs are a Franchised Membership of HOG,,, as Clubs/Chapters.

You Pick and YOU Choose which Club and how many you want to join.

I keep my membership As National.. I can visit ANY Chapter to deal with matters if needed and also, I can ride on most any ride they have by JUST being National with My Patch "HOG" and Keeping my HOG dues paid up. The HOG member card shows paid up date... I have Never been asked for any proof when going along with another HOG group ride. They see my patch and that is enough.....

Seldom do I ride with "their" organized runs.... Charity events and fund raisers are about all. (Lots of Good!)

"Good" Clubs depend on Active Membership from members and Organized Events (rides) planned out and LED and Tailed by Knowledgeable Riders NOT HOT SHOTS...
Starting off with a drivers meeting and talk basic rules to follow for safety then DIRECTIONs of the ride to take,,, Questions? blaw-bla then and a Cel.# of the leader would be nice to have.

I have gone on a GOOD well organized BIG rides that was planned out well, by a local Destination HD Hog Chapter group... Fun But I prefer going by myself or 1 or 2 other bikes at the most.

HOG membership entitles you(us) to be members of whatever and however many chapters as you(we)want to.Leastways thats how it works here on the wetside.:newsmile030:

I agree Sir. The best rides are Paula following me on her Fatboy and maybe my Sister and Brother in Law following on their bikes. 4 is a good number. Over 6 is a crowd.
