HTCC heads

I am hearing that the htcc cnc ported heads are more trouble than they are worth. You have to set the squish and are bad about pinging. Any opinions?

Cam choice is critical with a small chamber like that.Especially when using pump gas.Any heavily modified engine requires attention to the details.Changing heads fits that category. What are you planning on doing?

I have a 2003 ultra that I put a 95" kit and was going to use these heads. In fact I did use them with flat tops. The shop where I bought them said they have run these with flat tops before but I bent 2 push rods and decided to pull the heads off and look. No valve to piston contact but also learned that you had to run the htcc pistons with htcc heads instead of flat tops. I have ordered the correct pistons but from what I am hearing I would be better off with my stock heads. I am only running a tw26 cam and do a lot of 2 up riding so I probably dont need the httc heads. Thanks for your comments!
