Lifting my 04 Fatboy

I have a lift for my bike that worked fine on my Sportster but is a little too tall to fit under my Fatboy. Is there a trick to raise the bike a little to allow me to use this lift? Thanks

Have you tried running the back wheel onto a plank?

Cut some 2x6's or something to roll the tires up onto.

I have a 2005 fatboy I would like to know the correct place to put a motorcycle jack If I put on cross members It does not pick front end up If I move to pickup In center It hits shocks will It damage anything ? I am still on frame The jack has 15 inch cross members
