Any of you folks coming in to Galveston to enjoy the festivities with hundreds of thousands of your closest buds please take care and remember a few things:

• Err on the side of safety
• Let the other guy go first if he insists
• Don't try to force the issue with the cages
• If you've had a few, leave the bike where it's at
• Respect the members of Law Enforcement - they have a BIG job
• Do what it takes to be here next week to tell us how much fun it was

Well Lone Star Rally 2009 seems to have been a pretty big success!! Started off a bit shaky with the weather on Thursday and Friday. But Mother Nature smiled on Galveston on Saturday and Sunday with bright blue skies and mild temps.

News reports say about 300,000 bikes and other vehicles with approximately 500,000 people in attendance. Low crime and more importantly very few accidents. Unfortunately, there were a few motorcycle fatalities. Thoughts and prayers to those left behind.

As usual at these things, SAFETY is the most important consideration.

See ya next year (and the year after - Galveston has committed through 2011!).

Me and my lady had an awesome time on Saturday. I thought we made it this time with no accidents or fatalities. My condolences go out to those who lost loved ones.
