Lowers fitment

Are lowers for an earlier pre 93 fltc ( mine is an 89) interchangeable with lowers for flh of the same time frame. I hope someone else rides old stuff like me and has the answer.

I deleted my original reply because I couldn't verify it on your model. Batwing and Sharknose lowers don't interchange on NEWER models because the Sharknose interferes with the Batwing lower or vice versa. BUT, from what I remember reading, they can be modified. Do some Google research before you take my word.

I am not changing lowers but trying to install speaker pods and none are listed for an fltc. I have heard that some lowers are slimmer than others. I am somewhat reluctant to order unless I can reasonably expect fit even or some minor mods.
