Made my own backrest mount

Didn't want to spend the $230 that HD wanted so I bought a $14 piece of steel(2'' x 3/16'') and heated/beat/bent this into shape where it would line up with the slot in the stock seat on my FLHR. I used the mounting bolts that came on the bike..

The piece bolted to the bracket is what the backrest bolts to, it also has a series of holes that give me about 3'' of height adjustment. Here it is installed after primer/paint..

.The 3/16'' steel has just the right balance of flex/firmness for my taste:s
