mikuni jets

I was wondering if anybody could help me out with jetting my mik hsr 42 mikuni says main jet standard is 160 and if you have arent running stock pipes should run a 165 main jet. in my tuning manuel it says standard pilot jet is #25. somebody recommended a #48 slow jet but mikuni has a #45 or #50 witch seems big if carb has a standard #25?

The person was probably referring to the jet numbers in a CV carb instead of a Mic.
Up the pilot one size from the 25 and see where that gets you if you are having a surge or popping..
