Motorcycle salvage yard

Has anyone ever visited a bike salvage yard? I have a couple within a 2 hours ride of where I live and was wondering if they are worth the trouble to make a stop. Not really looking for a part(s), just looking out of curiosity. Never know, may be a bike build laying around somewhere or some interesting spare parts.
If you have been, how is the pricing?

I visited this one in the Petersburg area. Salvage Harley Motorcycles Rebuildable Cars Wrecked Corvettes Auto Dealer VA Just went to see how the merchandise looked as to what they had online. Most of their stuff is salvage title bikes, would require some work to make road worthy, if you wanted to go down that route.

It's worth a look see. The one by me actually gets a lot of stuff from the dealership. You know, stock that people have replaced with custom parts. They also carry tires for a good price. A friend of mine just got a pair of saddle bags for a 60' pan that were in pretty good shape. Check it out! Never know what you'll find.

Haven't been to a MC salvage yard since my dirt bike days. Back then there was one east of OKC that was fantastic. On the dirt I rode many a HondYamaSuzuKawHusqTaco. Crossbreed dirt bikes were the way to go back then.

It would be cool to stop and check out. I wish I had one close to me to go dig though. You never know what you might come across.
