Need Advise Buying A Harley

I am buying an new XL 883 Low rider. I will be buying the bike in Saudi Arabia as I am moving there soon. After working in Saudi I will be moving either to Australia or back to the UK.

Someone mentioned the specification of the bike itself and that Harleys are built for the region they they are sold into, i.e. european spec, american spec etc, etc. I am concerned that if I buy a bike in Saudi will it comply with regulations in other countries (emmisions etc). How do I find out about this or don't I have a problem in the first place.

Appreciate any help/advice.

I agree with Hobbit.Regs change from country to country and it may be cost prohibitive to try to comply.

That could be good advice, buy 2 bikes. I'll run that one past her in doors. That would obviously lead to another problem what would the other bike be? Exactly the same or different model.

I'd make some inquires before reaching any decision. There isn't anything that couldn't be adjusted if it wasn't in compliance.
