I just want to let everyone , who was so helpful, know what the noise problem was on my 02 FLHTC with 80K miles. It definitely was piston slap. I replaced the cylinders and pistons with new HD products and had the cylinders bored to match the pistons, (3.875 dia) 95 inches. The noise is now gone and the bike runs strong. I'm sooooo happy. I knew that noise was not supposed to be there. So thanks again to Bubbie, Glider, and all the other people who gave me advise on this issue. This is a great forum and I read it regularly to learn more about my machine.
