pinch bolts and riser

I understand how this question must sound to most of you
but here goes...........
I am tightening the "critical fasteners" listed in my service manual.
I have searched my manual and this forum for over an hour trying
to be find out where are the
A) lower fork pinch bolts
B) upper bracket pinch bolts
C) riser clamp screws and lock nuts
I have the exploded view of the front forks on page 2-58 of the
2004 FLSTC service manual but no where is the term pinch bolt listed.

Is there a source for complete novices to find out the location of such
things ?
While I'm asking stupid questions , on page 1-35 of the service manual ,
it says to lubricate the steering head bearing with "special purpose grease".
Is there some maqical quality to this grease or can I use the same stuff
I grease the wheels/bearings on my mower with ?

Again, sorry to bother with such questions but any help will be appreciated.

These are located in the lower triple tree and they are the bolts that squeeze the triple tight to hold the fork tubes in place. They may be covered with the tins on the front end and may have to be removed to access the bolts.

B) upper bracket pinch bolts
Same as the first question. You may have to look in by the steering head to find them on some bikes.

C) riser clamp screws and lock nuts
If this is referring to the sizer bolts, look underneath the top triple tree and you will see the heads facing downward there on wither side of the steering head. You may be able to access these from behind the steering head because of the tins, otherwise they have to be removed anyway for the tripple tree bolts.

The special purpose grease isn't supposed to melt and drip but it does. A good quality bearing grease will work just as well. Don't know if you have a grease fitting in that bike but to grease it otherwise requires dis assembly of the front end.

I think I got it all.

When checking your critical fasteners set your torque wrench at the minimum spec so you don't break the factory or previous thread lock, if you break the TL it might be best to reapply it then torque to mid spec...

My Torque wrench is my friend it makes it so I do not have to drag a very heavy magnet behind my bike...

But Gary isn't the heavy magnet the prerequisite to owning a Harley?:D
