Pinstripe removal on Denim Paint

I have an '07 Night train painted factory denim black and want to remove some older pinstripes. I know about the "easy-off" method, but wonder how it would work on the flat factory finish. I dont want to use rubbing compound and a dremel as im sure this would bring a semi gloss to the areas i work over...any suggestions?

Man, I would defer this to HD, or a paint specialist b/c I wouldn't recommend either option for denim paint. From what I believe - it's actually like a "sheet overlay" and you don't want it to open/peel.

I'm not the subject matter expert so you'll probably want to wait & see other responses, review & react accordingly...good luck!

I have not had a chance to work with any of the denim paints yet.Easy off is a tried and true method.Unfortunatly it requires buffing after which may destroy the finish.

Id try buffing a spot thats out of plain sight and see what happens.

After reading this I'd say you cant remove the stripes without repainting.
