I have a 2004 Road King Custom that I didn't actually start riding until Spring of 2005 so, by any stretch, it is only 3 years old. The customizing style that I chose was the "Stealth" options. Both rider and passenger footboards have the Stealth pads. I absolutely love the look, but noticed last Fall (after only 2 1/2 years and approx. 8,000 miles) that 3 out of the 4 footboard pads had chrome that was starting to bubble up or separate. Now, I take care of my bike. It has NEVER sat out in wet weather or even been wet for any length of time. Even when I wash the bike I blow it completely dry. I am very upset about this chrome failure and wondered if anyone else had this experience or knows if Harley will do anything about it.
Thanks.
Thanks.
