I need to know the difference between, with detailed pics or schmatics if anyone has them, of the difference between the 80's and 90's crank case breather system. Im not sure if it's okay to just block off the crank case breather and just vent the heads cause my bike has excessive blow by from the crank case breather. My motor was the non vented head style and I now have eldlebrock rpm heads which can be vented.

I know nothing about crank case's or ??? but you might want to re-word your post... I have noticed that you don't get any replys if you start "Question"

Keep the timed breather.S&S recommends running both the head and timed breather on big inch engines and I recommend running them both whenever possible.It does require some new rocker boxes to complete for non-head breather bikes.

You might want to check the breather and the timing of the breather also. They had some plastic units that did not stand up too well.
