In 2009 the Harley "Town Father's" offered a two-tone paint scheme of Deep Turquoise and Antique White. I found this an awesome Harley paint scheme. Yet in 2010 this had been dropped. HHHHMMMM, I just wonder how they determine how long to offer a certain color? I have known of some paint colors that were offered 3-4 years.

Smitty said it all. I thought it looked great on the heritage series but a little uhhh well feminine on the Ultras but ok on the RK series. But to each person it may be different. I'm sure they looked at the number of sales per color and that decided it. There will always be black and red and blue. Others will come and go.

I agree I did NOT like that color on the Ultra either. However for me Harley is all about the nostalgia, history, etc. No other bike offers that. Those colors that I mention IMHO look so nostalgic on the Softail Deluxe and Heritage...also on the Roadking Classic. Indeed different colors look better on different models of Harley's.

Yeah, they also dropped the red/gold two tone which was offered on several models... you could get it on a classic but not on the ultra...never could figure that out either..I think the color choices for 2010 are very limited and very plain..but they found a way to raise the price thou

Yeah they dropped Black pearl and Pewter Pearl which to my understanding were the most popular colors in 09 ...Not sure the reasoning.

The scarlet red/black on the Limited is just an awful color..too tomato/orangey. If they wanted orange they should have made orange. That is probably going to keep me from buying a 2010 or waiting until I see the Merlot (?) two tone. Did the MOCO hire some alternative lifestyle interior designer for the colors? Vivid black/black ice pearl....for crying out loud...it's purple !!!!!
