Rear Cylinder runs stronger

G'day All,
I have noticed that my exhaust runs darker from the rear cylnder than the front cylinder, way darker,I am still running the factory standard exhaust for an 08FXSTI, is this normal or is something happening i should get rectified. My putt seems to be running fine, any ideas???

Unless you are running a tuner and can adjust the cylinder balance between cylinders, the rear cylinder will run richer and hotter than the front one. The fuel maps in the ECM do have a bit of bias between cylinders as far as mixture but sometimes isn't enough.

Glider and Hobbit thanks both of you for the heads up, I still have a bit to learn about my bike and this forum has the depth of knowledge i need..
I will keep an eye on it,..
