Rear Shock Adjustment

OK, I've finished the Back rest install...............my new seat should be here this week and I need some info on the shock adjustment on my Low rider since I'll be riding with my wife. Mine has the numbers on it, which way is harder and which way is lighter, also I've got the spanner wrench to do the adjustment should you raise the bike before the adjustment or just start turning?

If momma is heavy duty, run it all the way up then start dropping till you both are happy with the ride. Experimenting is the only way to get what is best for your situation.---jack

And always consider the extra's loaded on the bike.....bags, gear, etc. It all adds up.

It's something you'll definitely want to test to find that perfect ride.
I have 412's on my 06 FXDCI. If I ride alone, I set them on 1 or 2. If we 2-up, I change to 3. If we are loaded, I raise them to 4 or 5.

I agree 06, prior to a long trip I always load it down fully, get the wife on and take a run around some of the rougher roads to see how she is ridin. Then I adjust it from there.
