Replacement speedo

Hey all, I have a 1999 Road Glide FLTRI with the mechanical speedo part #67349-96. The needle has stopped working, the odometer and trip meter still work. I am looking for a suitable aftermarket replacement, does anybody know if the aftermarket replacements for FXR,FXE, or XL will work.

FXR,XL, etc have 4" face speedos, yours is 5". Any 5" mechanical from 96-whenever they went electronic (04?) should have the same 2:1 ratio. You may find instrument lights are different between years. Look at the J&P or Dennis Kirk online catalogs for compatability.

I live just across the BIG ROAD in Byron, we've probably crossed roads at some time. I measured my speedo at 3 1/8" across the face thus the question about the FX,XL aftermarket replacements. I believe the 5" speedo's are for the tank mounted dash like the Road King and Heritage.

I doubt you know me. I mostly ride alone. I retired from a Contractor at Robbins. The only guy I know from Byron is Danny "no work" Burke.
