Any advice on how big a riser you can put on a 09 superglide without needing longer cables? I am thinking about 4 1/2 to 5 inches.

I tried 4" risers and it was a stretch for the brakeline. I had to bend the steel tubing portions to make it reach.

Even after I installed the risers, I still did not like the bars and the position they put my hands in. I removed the risers and went with a set of take-off Street Bob mini-apes and cables. It was well worth the effort to do the swap.

If you go with 4.5" - 5" risers, you very well may nn\eed cables and lines. The Street Bob cable set-up should work well and should be available on eBay for a cheap swap.

I put a set of 4 1/2 pull back risers on mine with no issues. speedo wire was cutting it close though.

i put nighttrain bars/cables/risers on my 03wideglide boy do i ever wish i had not done that!

I just put a set on my 09 dyna today 4.5" with a 1.5 back
space
The brake cable is close but it's ok
Love the positon with the forward pegs
I am 6' and like the hight difference

Not an issue on '09's as they have a fully flexible break line.
