What is the difference between (stock) handlebars from a 2003 RK and later models? I have seen where bars say for 2007 up 0r 96-2005 and such. Is it just height or?
 
Actually going lower possibly. The bike has 13" Apes on it now, and Wife doesn't care for them that much. If I pull them back where she's comfy, then the controls (clutch/brake arms) almost point to the ground and it's awkward to "pull sideways" when using them.
 
Check out the bars on a Heritage Softail classic...They are not as high as what you have but are much better than the stock one for that year..They will fit with no cable or wire mod's
