Rush Slip On Baffle Size for 103 Engine

My dealer said Rush recommends the 2.50" Baffle Size for the 103 Engine. Why should a larger Baffle Size matter to the 103? I recently traded my Street Glide for the Road Glide Ultra, and moved my 2.00" Rush pipes to the new Glide. I do have some concerns about being too loud for the neighbors....but not that much.
