Screaming Eagle pipes

Hi all, you guys probably get tire of this type of question as I'm, 12 Limited OEM, no mod. thinking about adding a set of SE slips on, no air no fuel, just looking for a little louder from pipes, would it backfires on decel? Some dealers said no, some said yes. What ya all say?.

There is hardly any difference between stock and SE.I found Cobras were the answer for me.Louder,but not obnoxiously so.

I had SE slip on's, on my 08 limted, also did the pro race tuner and air filter back then. It did what I wanted, about 20% lauder at idle and cruise, but more when under load.

You may have read how lean the stock setup is, so if you add a free flow exhaust you will make it leaner. You may experience decal popping and the bike may run on the hot side.
I will also say that I added a V&H fuelpak to my bike and all decal popping is gone and the bike runs cooler.

SeaRider I had the dealer add the SE Pro Race tuner.
Just putting on some slip ons will allow the exhaut to be more free flow, leading to less back pressure and can make the engine leaner by pulling some of the fuel air mixture from the cylinder durring the time the intake valve opens to push the spent combusted mixture out the exhaust valve. This unburt very lean mixture pulled from the cylinder into the hot header pipe than ignites.
This is why it would be best to add a fuel controller to the bike, along with a upgraded air filter.

Also if you are not satisfied with the sound of SE slip ons, you can put Big City Thunder baffles in them and you will have a deep throaty sound from those slip ons....

I put "Screaming Eagle Street Canons" on my 2013 Ultra, with the stock header and air intake. It made it sound a lot better, and required no further changes to the system. When I installed the new Cobra header without the catalytic converter, they became VERY loud. The catalytic converter actually does most of the sound "muffling".

I had Dobeck on my last softail, like the way it functioning. At this time, I'd like to put on some pipes first w/o adding anything else, if it's gonna to pops on decel, I may not do it, if it's not popping, then I can have a set of "SE street canon" for the Xmas coming. As stated above, haft of the people I asked said it will and other haft said it won't. I don't know if they even have the pipes I like.
