Security Fob and Electromagnetic Interference

Hello folks,

I'm thinking about the electromagnetic interference between multiple fobs, for example, draining the fob battery inadvertently or preventing the bike fob from disarming the system.

Just wondering if there's an ill effect if the bike fob is kept with other fobs (i.e. garage door opener and front door fob) in the same pocket or on the same key chain.

I cut/pasted this from the link that Tank posted above.
In the owners manual it states this in the "Riding with a Fob" section.
Keep your alarm fob away from other sources of electromagnetic radiation cell phones,PDA,electronic devices or storage in a metal box.
It also quotes a minimum distance of 3 inches.

Harley needs to address this problem. In 2012 it is VERY difficult to keep even
a 3" distance between devices on a mcy. Even a stone age guy like me has a phone, gps and garage door opener on my bike.:s
