Slip-Ons vs Complete Header-back sets

I have and '09 SG arriving at the dealer next week and am considering just going with the Reinhardt slip-ons (if they fit an '09) instead of the complete, header-back true duals like I have on my '05 RK.

Will the slip-ons on the SG sound as good as the true duals on my RK?

Also, if not the Reinhardts, what others should I look into?

Go for the Reinhardt slipons, the true duals don't do anything favorable for you other than remove some heat.

Thanks for your opinion!

I was leaning toward those anyway...they are clean looking and I'll save myself about $500! :D

I put the Rinehart slip-ons on my 09 Ultra and think that they sound fine. The only problem with them is that the heat on the right side is hot hot hot. Rinehart doesn't have the true duels ready yet but when they do I think I will switch. One for the heat issue, and second I like the look of the true duels. But then that is just the look I'm looking for.

I put Reinhart mufflers on my 08 RK with the stock crossovers, and now I find the right muffler's endcap changing color, losing a bit of it's blackness, almost turning purple. The difference in flow is clear, the right flows quite a bit more. Any thoughts on this? I figure too much heat is screwing with the aluminum. Other than that, the sound is fantastic.

I picked up my 09 SG yesterday and had the Rinehart slipons installed, they have a low rumble sound that I like, great while idling (nice for pulling into the neighborhood at 3AM). The sound thunders as you accelerate past the parked cars setting of their motion alarms as you pass :D
I got my SG in vivid black and my reinhards have the black tips at the ends giving it a real cool look. I think you will be more than happy with the Riehart slipons.
the pipes are not available at this time.
enjoy the SG I now I am.

They have been battling the end cap problem for quite a while now. Only solution is to replace them with the chrome caps.

I have had a set on my '05 RK for 3 years now and they are still Black as the day I bought them. The secret (I was told) is to never let soap or any other cleaner touch them! I have never used anything but water on the tips and it seems to have worked.
