stock rims chromed

Ive seen ads & ebay items for stock wheels chrome plated.I've thought about doing this being cheaper than buying new chrome wheels.Plus the fact that my wheels are not as visible(with rotors,bags etc.).
Has anyone had this done or bought some on ebay?If so, what was your experience.
